Has motherhood changed your perspective on the world in any way?
Yes. Priorities shift when you become a mom. I didn’t realize how hard motherhood would be per se. I knew it was hard, but I didn’t understand why. I have a lot of respect for mothers now. I think we’re often undervalued, and disregarded.
For me, becoming a mom made me realize the struggles my own mother went through, being a single mom in need...
]]>For our latest Eizzy Parent feature, we sat down with founder of a nonprofit called In Kind Boxes, Maria Berglund, to find out what inspires her journey through motherhood and to share her tips for successful parenting.
1. Tell us about yourself.
I am a mom of 3 boys living in Oregon, founder of a nonprofit called In Kind Boxes, and I love being outside, having dance parties with my kids, and watching shows that make me laugh like New Girl and Friends.
For me, becoming a mom made me realize the struggles my own mother went through, being a single mom in need. It’s why I started In Kind Boxes. To pay kindness forward that my mom, sister, and I received growing up.
3. What’s the best thing about being a mom?
It has to be the unlimited snuggles, the love we share and how much they make me laugh!
4. Who’s the cheekiest in your family?
Oh gosh. I think our youngest. He gets his sass from me though.
5. What are the most used items in your household?
My kids are always hungry, so plates probably. For toys, it would be LEGO. All three boys play with it every day.
6. What are your favorite Eizzy Baby Products?
Our yellow snack cup is the best! My youngest loves using it.
7. How do our products make "mom life" eizzy-er?
My son gets excited to use it every time. I love that it is compact, and easy to clean.
8. Would you rather have a self-cleaning house or 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep?
Definitely a self-cleaning house! I’ll nap rather than clean up.
9. What's the best piece of best parenting advice you'd like to share with us?
I have always loved giving back and helping others. After having my third son, and coming out of a postpartum fog for the third time, I decided I need to do something to help new moms in need. I curated a gift box filled with natural and organic essentials for both mom and baby, which we donate to moms in need all across the United States. In 2021, we donated 651 boxes!!
At In Kind Boxes, we believe that every mom deserves quality postpartum care. Moms shouldn’t have to feel alone. Moms deserve to feel loved and supported. Together we are building a village of support. We’re showing moms in need that they matter, and that they’re not alone.
In layman's term, weaning off of bottles mean when your baby starts using cups instead of bottle-feeding, similar to an adult. This is a crucial and gradual step for your baby to start consuming solids and move on from breast milk or formula.
Weaning your baby takes patience and understanding from both you and your child.
When does my baby need to start this transition?
Let us to make it easy for you!
Baby bottle tooth decay happens when your child drinks from a bottle too long, and the sugar from the milk or juice sits on your child’s teeth. This can eventually lead to cavities and decay. After drinking all day from a bottle, eating a meal would be the last thing your child would want. Their tummy would be full, and they'll get all of their calories from the milk. This overload of calories can lead to toddler obesity.
There are so many options available for the transition, in the market. What's the best option for my baby?
Feeding therapists and swallowing specialists recommend 2 kinds of cups over every other kind.
Drinking from an open cup or a straw is a lifelong skill i.e. your baby will use these skills in adulthood too, unlike sippy cups and 360 cups. Despite popular advertising claims, both sippy cups and 360 cups encourage a way of drinking that is not ideal for your baby’s oral-motor skills development.
Pro-Tip: Make sure you choose a soft rimmed cup, something made of silicone so that plastic is avoided and you have a flexible, soft, and durable material to work with. Our favorite open cup has to be EIZZY BABY OPEN CUP.
How do I introduce open cups to my baby -
Spoiler alert - Drinking from a cup is a skill that takes time, effort, and absolute patience, from both you and your baby.
Pro-tip: Shop for an open cup with your baby and make them excited on the notion that they get to choose their preferred color. EIZZY BABY OPEN CUP.

“Make it fun, don’t worry about the mess! My son would spill something and we would say something like “Oh NOOO!” or “Huh!” and he would get nervous and try NOT to make a mess”
Today we are sharing amazing tips for your picky eaters and how to make dinners, not a screaming mess.
Yes, we see you crying mommas!
Does mealtime almost feel like a war to you?
Where you are fighting your own kid, who has recently started being vocal about their food choices?
Is your kid always saying “NO, I don’t want to eat this?” during mealtime?
Well then, this conversation with the very talented ‘Danielle’ from ‘Shaping Young Taste Buds’ is going to be insightful.
In this conversation Danielle shares -
1. Portions, Portion, PORTIONS!
Mistakes that most parents do, Danielle shared at one point, she did it too.
“I was giving my son a plate that looks similar to mine. Like giving him a lot of vegetables, a little protein, and a little bit of carbs.”
Instead what parents should do is -
“You need to think about your portions in relation to the foods your kid is comfortable with.”
She shares her insight on how because you want them to eat a certain kind of food, it doesn’t mean that they are comfortable with it too. You are just going to scare them away.
Instead, if you want them to eat a vegetable you think they are going to fight you on, you can put a little piece of it first.
Encourage them to touch it, smell it and the idea is to get them closer to eating it.
2. The Utensils and Feeding Equipment's Really Matter!
“I would shy away from a plate that is a big circle, which doesn’t have any divisions because picky eaters are not going to want their food to touch, they are going to be afraid of the foods they are not comfortable with.
But your goal is to at least have them on the plate which is better than the food not even being there”
This is why Danielle prefers and recommends Divided plates for picky eaters.
She especially loves the Eizzy Silicone Suction Plates with 3 divided sections for portion and nutritional guidance.
You can shop for it Here
Danielle also suggests that anything that’s novel, kids love that! Want to hear more about that? You can check this video where she is candid and shares her insight (Enter the link for the interview with Danielle)
Letting your kid choose the colors, patterns, or shapes of their feeding equipment makes them more interested and not bored with their meals.
3. Make it fun and don’t worry about the mess!
Mistakes that most parents make, including Danielle!
“My son would spill something and we would say something like “Oh NOOO!” or “Huh!” and he would get nervous and NOT want to make a mess”
Danielle shares that if dinners become a boring thing as adults do, they are never going to like it and they are never going to eat what you put on their plates.
“They are going to come up to the table, they are going to eat a couple of things that they want to eat and then ask to get down!”
Make it fun for them and not a chore.
Don’t worry too much about the mess.
If your little one is messy and if you want to avoid that extra cleaning process, you must check out our Eizzy Bibs, made to help working and busy parents with messy eaters.

Danielle’s thoughts on the popular “Sneaking vegetables in the food”
“The experts would say, don’t sneak in vegetables. The idea is to get them used to eating them and you don’t want to lie to your kids! But, once in a while, you can certainly do it.”
She shared how in a homemade pizza, she’d add some superfoods like Chia Seeds in the sauce.

“We create barriers for ourselves, I like to go beyond that and push myself.”
“I feel like it never really means a no for me it's always a ‘maybe’, ‘not right now', ‘tomorrow’. I never take the first no as a no, I always go for it and try again and again.”
This is the journey of a successful Single mom who came from a background of special education in the non-profits to being a stellar successful mompreneur of the brand “Eizzy Baby.”
Yes, we are featuring the story of the founder of Eizzy baby “Assie Khoussa” and a special shout out to Jerome Fenton who took this interview for his podcast ‘H for Hustle’.
Assie shares about the journey of Eizzy baby from about a year ago to today in the present.
Why Eizzy Baby
Even though Assie worked the 9 to 5, she always had the entrepreneurial bone in her. She wanted to build her own product-based business but one of the most daunting Questions held her back!
“ What can I sell?”
The answer to this question got very clear when she had her baby boy.
“When I had my son, I spent so much time and I thought ‘How can I make parenting easy’ because parenting is hard! And on top of that, I didn't want to spend hours putting together Complex products for my son to use. I just wanted it (the products) to be super easy for him, to just grab and go!”
This is exactly what Eizzy Baby is! A curation of baby products that are super functional, easy, and simple to use.
How she sold her assets like her clothes and shoes for business capital
After the question of ‘What’ came the big question of ‘How!’
Assie did not have a LOT of money. She was living paycheck to paycheck, was side hustling, doing odd jobs to support herself and her family’s living. Plus she had to work for her business capital. She did not shy away from selling her assets like extra clothes, shoes, and accessories to increase the capital.
She researched hard on how to use Alibaba for vendors who would manufacture her products, stayed awake at night to coordinate with the vendors, and be there for her son, first thing in the morning!
The Expectations Vs The Reality
Her first product, Eizzy Baby Diaper Bag, was a fail!
After a lot of going back and forth, a variety of samples, change of vendors, she ordered her First Consignment of 200 Diaper Bags.
The Expectations vs the Reality was not in her favor!
This was the time where she took major decisions for her brand, especially marketing and sales decisions.
You can get to know the whole story from the podcast where Assie shares all her hardships and how she overcame them.
Timestamp - 11.00
The Covid fiasco with getting Fired
The Covid Pandemic hit the whole world and how! The pandemic brought a whole set of new problems for Assie.
“ When I got fired, it was actually my Birthday and I was at a food shopping and I think I spent about $250. And then I got a call right when I was at the checkout and I was like ‘Oh shit! How am I going to afford $250 now!?
The Covid also caused a month-long delay in the shipment of her products making the situation worse.
Marketing Strategies
Initially, Assie made her Shopify website; talked to any and everyone she could, either to talk about her brand or to get help for her difficulties.
She started posting on Facebook MarketPlace and also chose Amazon’s fulfillment.
But, Amazon needed a huge advertising capital to be successful. To know more about this, you should definitely check the fun podcast. TimeStamp - 12.40
This is when Assie decided to sell through her Website and invest her time, energy, and money to drive traffic there.
She started by talking and connecting with people on Facebook groups. Groups that were from her niche. She started to share value with these people.
Assie started her Instagram page @eizzybaby, drove her traffic to this page, shared pictures, her journey, most importantly she shared pictures and videos of her son using the products in their day-to-day life.
“ 80% of my sales come from my Instagram”
No, the process wasn’t easy. No, it wasn’t a one-day miracle. It was determination and perseverance that got results.
How “YOU” can do it too!
“A job is not easy, Entrepreneurship is NOT easy”
If you want an easy job, then entrepreneurship is not for you. But if you want to work for yourself, do all the hard work and smart work for yourself then this is for you!
“Start from somewhere! If you don't have the money to buy an actual product so what I would advise you to do is to create an Instagram page, whatever the niche is that you are interested in, start sharing value. Grow your following and eventually go in to introduce a product to them.”
To know more tips and the processes check out the podcast episode.
Assie has always believed in helping and growing together. If you ever want to talk or chat, you can always DM on @eizzybaby

Food grade silicone is Non hazardous, odorless and Non- toxic in nature. This simply means that it does not contain BPA, latex, lead and other harmful byproducts which, by the way, should be nowhere near your baby’s mouth.
It is highly resistant to high temperature which entails that it does not harden, crack, peel, crumble, dry out, rot, or become brittle overtime. Its lightweight quality makes it travel friendly.
One of the biggest nightmares for every parent is their baby not being safe and protected.
Eizzy Baby has a very simple mission -
Create and provide SAFE baby products that are easy, organic, and functional to use for parents.
Eizzy Baby is a Mom - owned brand that relates to the dilemma of other parents and wants to solve them. One of the most important priorities is the quality of the products being safe for babies and toddlers.
One way of ensuring that the products are absolutely safe is by avoiding plastic. In this article, you can expect the following topics -
“I don’t know about silicone! Why is it used in my baby’s Snack cup or teether?”
Food-grade silicone is Nonhazardous, odorless, and Non- toxic. This simply means that it does not contain BPA, latex, lead, and other harmful byproducts which, by the way, should be nowhere near your baby’s mouth.
It is highly resistant to high temperatures which entails that it does not harden, crack, peel, crumble, dry out, rot, or become brittle over time. Its lightweight quality makes it travel-friendly.
Let's compare Silicone with plastic for a better understanding
It’s no secret that plastic ending up in water bodies and landfills is a global issue. Not only plastic causes serious health problems like cancer, infertility, and immune disorders, it contains one of the most notorious chemicals called BPA or Bisphenol A.
BPA tends to mimic body hormones that influence bodily processes including growth, cell repair, fetal development, energy levels, and reproduction.
Imagine the sheer horror of this substance present in baby products like Teethers and Snack cups!
A container made of plastic and BPA may not be completely sealed and it may mix with the food. Note this that Plastic has already been restricted in the EU, Canada, China, and Malaysia, especially for baby products.
“You Constantly mention ‘food grade silicone’, what is that about?”
FDA Approved food grade silicone is a non-toxic type of silicone that does not contain any chemical byproducts making it completely safe to use with food for babies. It is safe to be used in devices like Microwaves, freezers, ovens, and dishwashers and also is safe for food storage. A product needs to pass several rigorous phases to be FDA-approved.

]]>The love, affection, and admiration. The way motherhood continues to encourage me to be the best version of myself. The way I have slowly learned to let go of my perfectionism, which is nearly impossible to maintain with 4 children, especially with 3 boys! The ability to shape young minds in the hopes of raising them to change in the world in whatever small or grand ways they choose. And the ability to relive your youth again. If you allow it to, parenting can keep you youthful.
]]>1. Tell us about yourself.
I am a mother of 4 amazing children - an 11 year-old girl, a 9 year-old boy, a 5 year-old boy and a 4 year-old boy, one of whom has special needs. I am a wife and a Speech-Language Pathologist, living in East Orange, NJ. I am the founder and owner of Don't Wait Communicate, Speech and Language Services, a home, daycare and private school-based speech therapy practice dedicated to helping children communicate effectively and confidently so that they may reach their fullest potential. I have been working with the early childhood age group for over a decade now. I love, love, LOVE children and others would say I am a cheerleader and advocate for the families I work with. In my downtime, I enjoy creating, designing, reading, and keeping busy.
2. Has motherhood changed your perspective on the world in any way?
Yes, most definitely. Before becoming a mother, I suppose I didn't think about the bigger picture as much as I do now. I wasn't really into politics, I wasn't overly active in my community, and I thought having a career that paid me well and made me happy was the most important thing achieved. Then I had kids...and that all changed! I am now more active and vocal in my community, I work to form connections with my neighbors and those around me. I took a job that paid me LESS just to have time to spend with my children, and eventually left my salaried job in education to start my own small practice for even more flexibility to support my family life. I also pay close attention to politics now, I participate in every possible election, big and the small, because they really matter!
3. What’s the best thing about being a mom?
The love, affection, and admiration. The way motherhood continues to encourage me to be the best version of myself. For example, I have slowly learned to let go of my perfectionism, which is nearly impossible to maintain with 4 children, and especially with 3 boys! The ability to shape young minds in the hope of raising them to change in the world in whatever small or grand ways they choose. And the ability to relive your youth again. If you allow it to, parenting can keep you youthful.
4. Who’s the cheekiest in your family?
Honestly, all of my kids are hams and love to make others laugh. But definitely my youngest one, Lexington is the cheekiest right now. He gets the entire house into side-splitting laughter. You can just see it in his smile. But in general, I think I have the funniest kids (though I know many parents would say that too). They are happy, silly, and witty and frequently share their fun-loving energy with those around them!
5. What are the most used items in your household?
My air fryer (and WiFi)! But I actively use my air fryer several times a week. I use it often to prepare veggies with salt and pepper, to warm up leftovers and give them oven-fresh warmth or to quickly whip up nuggets and fries during a rough week. In fact, I LOVE my air fryer so much, I now own two! Another heavily-used household item is our trampoline. It has gotten us through this entire quarantine. Thank goodness for the blessing of a backyard and space for my children to run and play. It's made this time of necessary isolation a bit easier and safer.
6. What are your favorite Eizzy Baby Products?
I think the assortment of printed bibs are divine! Eizzy Baby has the cutest color palette and range of designs. I also love the collapsible snack cups. I think this combination of neat solutions products encourage self-feeding and independence. So many parents are scared of allowing their children to get "messy" but it's a necessary part of development. The bibs make it so "eizzy" to allow them to do that. I love the little catch all pocket at the bottom of the bibs. The snack cups encourage exploration. I would use them to hide a new "secret" food. Children can be reluctant to try new things but it's so important they do! This can be a playful way to encourage it through a game.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, I am a fan of the new collection of training cups. Eizzy Baby's versatile and colorful sippy cups can help parents transition their children from a bottle as early as nine months. Straw cup designs (rather than spout designs) can help support appropriate muscle development in their child’s mouth. I like that the training cup can be used, with and without the straw and lid top, depending on what your child's preference. It's the perfect transitional drink container for warm and cool beverage options!
7. How do our products make "mom life" eizzy-er?
Eizzy Baby's modern essentials are portable, easy to clean, and all feature a great variety of design and color options. I like that the collection encourages self-feeding and independence. At the toddler stage, children are really exploring their independence. Everything is "me" and "mine." Also, they love autonomy so with all the color options, why not have your toddler pick their favorite color themselves?
8. Would you rather have a self-cleaning house or 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep?
Definitely a self-cleaning house! I'm not the best sleeper, so I've gotten quite use to getting less than 8 hours of sleep each night. BUT, I would most definitely love a self-cleaning house. Four kids later and nearly 12 years of parenting, somehow I have not gotten used to disorganization, LOL. A little "magical " help would be great.
9. What's the best piece of best parenting advice you'd like to share with us?

"The best part about being a dad is watching your kids grow up. Having the opportunity to watch, support, and positively influence someone's life is one of greatest honors I've ever had (times three). The unconditional love that has developed in me, first by becoming a husband and then a father, is my daily motivation and the best part of my personal journey through fatherhood."
1. Tell us about yourself.
My name is Jerome and I'm a proud husband and father to three incredible daughters. I am originally from Bronx, New York but I've lived in New Jersey for the past 6 years. I am the founder of H for Hustle Media, an education and media company designed to inspire and educate young entrepreneurs. I am also the host of the H for Hustle podcast.
2. Has fatherhood changed your perspective on the world in any way?
Fatherhood has definitely changed my perspective on the world in so many ways, but one of the biggest ways it has personally changed my life is through a greater understanding of patience. When my second daughter was born, my perspective greatly shifted and it showed me that learning is an ongoing process - and not just for my kids. My wife and I were learning again through our second (new) parenthood journey, our children were growing and learning about themselves and developing their first sibling relationship, and it made me realize that this process never ends. I've learned to just to be patient because of everyone is learning, step-by-step.
3. What’s the best thing about being a dad?
The best part about being a dad is watching your kids grow up. Having the opportunity to watch, support, and positively influence someone's life is one of greatest honors I've ever had (times three). The unconditional love that has developed in me, first by becoming a husband and then a father, is my daily motivation and the best part of my personal journey through fatherhood.
4. Who’s the cheekiest in your family?
5. What are the most used items in your household?
The dining table, toddler dishes, snack cups, baby wipes, and Clorox wipes are the most used things in my house.
6. What are your favorite Eizzy Baby Products?
In addition to your multipurpose collapsible cups, Eizzy Baby's Diaper Bag Backpack is my favorite item because it's more than just a traditional diaper bag. With three kids, you're bound to have someone spill juice all over themselves, so you'll need a spot in your bag to store wet clothing, like in the separate, lined compartment at the bottom of the bag. Snacks are key - so having a place to carry food, a place to keep fresh diapers, disposable bibs, wipes, and let’s not forget a place for kids' iPads. This bag can comfortably accommodate these items and more. And as a dad, I want a diaper bag that doesn't look like a traditional one. I wanted a sleek and stylish option, and this bag definitely accomplishes that too. It's perfect for travel and also integrates with our strollers to keep my hands free when necessary.
7. How is the diaper bag backpack making "dad life" eizzy-er?
Until we discovered this multi-functional bag, we tried other options, but ultimately decided that this bag is the only one that fits our busy, urban lifestyle needs. It makes my life easier because with three kids, I don't want to carry around something that doesn't have multiple functions or that can’t address all of our daily needs.
8. Would you rather have a self-cleaning house or 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep?
I will definitely have to take the self-cleaning house. Our minis love to dress up, play, and create art so having that all tidied up at the end of the day would be ideal!
9. What's the best piece of best parenting advice you'd like to share with us?
The best parenting advice I can give to new dads is two-fold:
1. Be patient with yourself, be patient with your partner, have patience with the kids. As soon as you think you have your kids figured out, they change, so learn to be patient throughout the parenting process.
2. Listen to your kids, communicate with your kids. Even if your child is not at speaking age, they are still communicating with you. Listening and connecting with them is important because your role is equally as important as that of mom's. They need you too, it's just communicated in a different way. In running a podcast, which isn't often recorded face-to-face, I've learned so much about listening, reading between the lines, and learning to communicate effectively especially when we have different points of view or limited methods of communication. Open and effective dialogue is the key to developing healthy relationships.

]]>In New Jersey where we are located, we are preparing for a year of virtual schooling and we are thinking of ways to keep Noah entertained, engaged, and stimulated all while balancing our workload.
Here are the ways we are doing our best to get him ready for the year:
Finding time to talk and explain that things will be different in September. Giving Noah the opportunity to share what he feels is remains our priority, and making sure that he feels heard during this adjustment period is on the top of our list. We want to be sure he feel comfortable sharing any difficulties and that we answer any tough questions that arise during this time.
Reorganizing our space to best suit the variety of activities he'll engage in throughout the day. We want to make sure that wherever he's learning, writing, painting or playing, we create as many defined spaces throughout our home that allow him to so comfortably.
Keeping Noah stimulated and focused as best we can. We've invested in new, non-digital learning tools and games to break up the virtual nature of the day so that he can still learn and play in different areas throughout his new "classroom." Thankfully, our collapsible snack cup, originally designed for food and fruit pieces has a variety of uses, including portable storage for small toys and block pieces.
Incorporating outdoor exercise and meal times. Until it gets too cold, we are planning to venture outdoors for a little exercise and during lunch. We've got our reusable and disposable bibs handy in our handy, multipurpose diaper bag-backpack to make sure that we can be flexible to allow for some time outdoors to avoid getting too stir-crazy.
It's important to remember that we as parents and our kids are adapting to these lifestyle changes. Thankfully kids are resilient by nature, and as parents we can model that resilience too. Being flexible, adapting to change, and being positive are all important life skills to have, and this major shift due to COVID-19 is an apt teaching moment for developing these skills. We wish you and your family the best of luck this school year as we are all learning together how to make this safe and meaningful for our kids.
]]>"EVERYTHING. Literally...I love feeling loved, I love the hugs and kisses, I love to see them learn and grow, I love that it has made me feel more empowered and confident than ever in my life."
]]>1. Tell us about yourself.
My name is Cathy and I am a coach for Moms who want to support their toddler’s in thriving developmentally. I am a Preschool Teacher and live in New Jersey. I have a background in Early Childhood Development, Psychology, and have worked supporting young children’s development for over 10 years!
2. Has motherhood changed your perspective on the world in any way?
Oh my Gosh, yes! I think about my children's safety and health when making every decision. When they were both born it was what I put in my body when nursing and now make sure what I put in their bodies is healthy and sets them up for good eating habits. Can you tell I love food? I talk about it often.
The world is a big place full of good and not so good things, you know? I strive every day to teach them kindness, compassion, and mindfulness. All between snacks.
3. What’s the best thing about being a mom?
EVERYTHING. Literally. Except cleaning and picking up the same things you just picked up 5 minutes ago, all day. I love feeling loved, I love the hugs and kisses, I love to see them learn and grow, I love that it has made me feel more empowered and confident than ever in my life.
4. Who’s the cheekiest in your family?
My boy, for sure. He just turned 15 months and that boy can climb things that I didn’t even think were climbable. And he is QUICK.
5. What are the most used items in your household?
Self-operating vacuum, my mop, my coffee cup, and the toddler dishes. Oh, and Lysol and Clorox wipes.
6. How does Eizzy Baby make "mom life" eizzy-ier for you?
I love our Eizzy Baby snack cup because I can collapse it to fit inside my tote bag before filling it! I literally throw it in my bag with a mandarin that I can peel later and off I go for the day. Also, my mornings have gotten easier where I can throw some cheerios in there before breakfast to finish my coffee!
7. What are your children's' favorite snacks?
Mandarins, blueberries, goldfish, cheerios, watermelon, cheese sticks, apple slices, grapes (I cut them in halves), dried cranberries, and raisins. These are just a few, LOL.
8. Would you rather have a self-cleaning house or 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep?
I can run on 4 hours of sleep and be totally fine. PLEASE hook me up with a self-cleaning house, that would be a DREAM COME TRUE.
9. What's the best piece of best parenting advice you'd like to share with us?
Well, my BEST parenting advice is just to enjoy your kiddos, because they grow so freakishly fast. BUT if I must share some things that stand out, these are some of my favorite tips to share with parents.

When I set out to create Eizzy Baby, my goal was to make products that were fashionable, durable, safe, and time-saving. Spending more time with our kids, helping them reach important milestones, and simply being present when they need us are parts of (parent) life's special moments. And I feel that the easier we make it on ourselves, the more time and energy we have to spend with them.
I spent the past 10 years working in the special education field in New Jersey. Six of those years were spent running a statewide transition program for children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I am passionate about helping children and parents live the best lives possible, in spite of the challenges.
The inspiration behind this entire business came when my son, Noah, was born. As a working mom, I was super busy and tired by the end of the workday. I wanted to find products that made my life easier throughout the evenings and weekends so I had more time and energy to devote to him.
That's why one of my favorite items in the collection is the Eizzy Snack Cup. The need for this product came about because I did not want to constantly chase my son around the house, cleaning up after his snack-related messes. I needed an easy solution to keep his snacks in one compartment that was hygienic, spill-proof, that worked for his needs without limiting his energetic and adventurous nature. I wanted it to be lightweight, portable, and easy-to-fill with any of his favorite snacks, fruits (and even small toys) on any occasion.
This same need for innovation and elegance inspired our diverse collection of lightweight silicone bibs. I wanted a bib that he could wear during seated meal times (which sometimes seem too few and far in between!), but didn't lead me to do tons of laundry every day. These two products make it easier for me to spend more time making special memories with Noah and stress out less about the little things. Both items are top drawer wash-dishwasher safe and made of FDA-approved and BPA-free, silicone-based materials - equally safe and easy to clean.
As a toddler mom, I take great pride in the development of my son and the products we use in our everyday life. As a Black, female business owner, I find joy in creating a business that serves my family, friends, and community.
These driving forces have also lead me to develop other helpful and innovative products that make everyday parent life easier. I can't wait to share more of these items to help make your days (and long nights) eizzy-ier too!
